The Tasmanian Chorale is a self-funding, Hobart based choir that is committed to a high standard in the performance of choral music. The Chorale schedules major concerts each year, an annual musical soirée, as well as performances at various community  events.

The Chorale is under the musical direction of Jo-Anne Kemp,  who brings a wide range of musical knowledge and experience to the Chorale.

From J.S.Bach to John Rutter and beyond, the Chorale’s repertoire is expansive, covering a wide range of genres, which include larger choral works with orchestra, to smaller accompanied and a capella works.

The Chorale is actively seeking new members of all ages who love to sing and are interested in being part of a dynamic vocal group. Our audition procedure is flexible, with a six-week probationary period.

The Chorale rehearses on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7:30pm. Rehearsals are held at the Salvation Army Citadel at 180 Elizabeth St Hobart.
